St. Barthélemy or St. Barts as it is commonly referred is a jewel of French island floating in the Caribbean close to St. Martin. The island is renowned for its white sand beaches, sparkling town of Gustavia with its mega-yacht harbor, chic restaurants and clubs, gorgeous views from everywhere, super brand duty free shopping (Hermes, LV, Cartier, etc). TraveLegends loves St. Barts and we would love to share that passion with you by providing a singular experience there at the finest hotels, villas, boats, restaurants all with a VIP touch.
OMG is this beach gorgeous! Imagine Robinson Crusoe waking up on shore of a deserted tropical white sand paradise and you get the idea. Ridiculously beautiful and a bit out of the way hence the remote wild ambiance.
Gouverneur beach is spectacular and like Saline is on the Leeward side of the island which is less windy and usually guarantees great weather. There is good snorkeling along the reefs on the side so don’t forget your mask and plenty of sunscreen!
The beautiful town of Gustavia is only a few blocks wide and long yet it has numerous boutiques selling stylish goods and clothing from France and beyond. The town surrounds a deep water yacht harbor on 3 sides and the scenery is stunning. There are also a number of good restaurants on the water where you can take a shopping break.
Join Captain Miguel Danet on his 45 ft catamaran Fetoaplez to spend a glorious day sailing around the island. Enjoy snorkeling and swimming from the boat to the stunning beaches including Colombier which is only accessible by boat or a long hike. Miguel will teach you about the island and serve a delicious lunch and a glass of rosé while you sit back and enjoy the views.
This is an incredible petite luxury hotel on Flamands beach with spectacular scenery and a gourmet restaurant looking out on the Caribbean. LVMH owns the hotel and of course the staff look sharp in their Louis Vuitton outfits. Plush rooms, suites, and bungalows (some with plunge pools) spread out over the hill facing the sea. Rates in season from 935 Eur.
Many people have told me this is the most amazing hotel they have ever stayed in – and you will understand why. Perched on a rocky promontory over looking the sparkling Caribbean, its own beach, and the island’s iconic mini airport – this collection of rooms and suites and villas is in one of the most enviable locations on the island on St. Jean beach. Stunning architecture and setting sets the tone for this incredible property. Fine dining as well as the casual Sand Bar restaurant literally on the sand by Jean-Geoges. From 1,200 Eur.
This is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. It must be have one of the most beautiful views of any restaurant in the world. Stunning al fresco dining overlooking Flammand beach. Delicious modern French cuisine served with elegance and style. Deep wine list. A wonderful place to spend an afternoon soaking in the views, the atmosphere, and the rosé champagne.
Dine in casual elegance just a few feet from the lapping azure waves of St. Jean beach. Jean-Georges has created a delicious seafood inspired light French menu with his signature touches including his beloved black truffle pizza.
On the opposite side of the Eden Rock Hotel sits Nikki Beach where there is always a party and flowing champagne. BBQ meats, fish and a full selection of fresh sushi complements the live dj and spontaneous dancing on tables. Try to grab one of the sofas on the beach or a day bed and enjoy the non-stop fashion shows and festive atmosphere. Go Sunday afternoon for the biggest beach party of the week.
